Service overview

The full picture, before you commit a penny.

What it is

A full turnkey bathroom: strip-out, first-fix plumbing and electrics, waste re-routes, plaster and boarding, waterproof tanking, tiling, sanitary-ware install, sealing, extraction and final making-good, completed by one in-house team.

Who it's for

Homeowners across Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Teesside, Surrey, Brighton and Hove replacing a dated bathroom, converting a bathroom to a wet-room or shower-room, or refurbishing en-suites and cloakrooms.

When you need it

When tiles are cracking, grout is failing, silicone has gone black, shower trays are leaking or the layout no longer suits the household. Also whenever selling, a modern, well-fitted bathroom materially improves survey outcomes and buyer confidence.

Why use a specialist

Bathrooms fail because of hidden work, not the tiles you see. Waterproofing behind boards, correct falls to waste, extraction ducted to outside, and bonded electrics all determine whether a bathroom lasts 15 years or 5. A specialist team gets the hidden work right the first time.

The cost of getting it wrong

What happens when this job is rushed, cheapened, or ignored.

A leaking bathroom does its damage quietly, through joists, into ceilings and along cavity walls, long before you see a stain. By the time a downstairs ceiling bows, you're paying for the bathroom refit and the structural repair below it.

Risks & escalating costs

  • Failed silicone and grout let water through to plywood decking, rotting joists and ceilings below.
  • Poor extraction breeds black mould that spreads to bedrooms and permanently stains ceilings.
  • Under-specified electrics near zones 1 and 2 are a genuine safety hazard and invalidate insurance.
  • Incorrect falls to waste in walk-in showers cause pooling, slipping and long-term tile failure.
  • Cheap trays and enclosures leak at the frame, a replacement job, not a repair.

Common mistakes we fix

  • Tiling straight onto plasterboard without a tanking membrane in wet areas.
  • Skipping an extractor fan on an internal bathroom to save £150, then spending thousands on mould remediation.
  • Boxing in isolators and stopcocks so no one can shut off water in a leak.
  • Choosing sanitary-ware before layout is finalised, soil pipe positions rarely move without cost.
  • DIY electrics in bathroom zones, Part P notifiable work carried out unlawfully.

Our process

A repeatable, five-stage system, refined over 18 years.

  1. 01

    Free Home Survey

We measure, check services (soil, waste, water, power), and talk through how the bathroom is used day to day, and where it falls short.

  2. 02

    3D CAD Design

Full 3D visuals showing sanitary-ware layout, tile choices, storage and lighting, so you can react to something real, not a mood board.

  3. 03

    Fixed-Price Quote

One quote covering strip-out, first-fix, tanking, tiling, sanitary-ware, electrics, extraction, sealing and making good. Valid for three months.

  4. 04

    Installation

Typical bathroom installs run 7–14 working days on site. Water and power are only isolated during the specific hours we need them.

  5. 05

    Sign-Off & Guarantee

Full walk-through, leak test, extraction test, snag list closed. One-year workmanship guarantee; sanitary-ware carries its own manufacturer cover.

Why it's worth doing properly

Concrete outcomes, not generic promises.

Compliant Wet-Zone Electrics

All bathroom electrics installed and certified by our NICEIC-approved electrician to Part P, RCD-protected, bonded, and correctly zoned.

Properly Tanked, Properly Sealed

Wet-zone walls tanked with a waterproof membrane before tiling, the single biggest factor in a bathroom lasting 15+ years without failure.

One Fixed Price, No Day-Rates

Every quote is a single fixed figure. If we find something behind a wall we didn't expect, we tell you before we spend your money on it.

One Team, One Guarantee

Plumber, electrician, tiler and plasterer all coordinated in-house. No trade-blaming when something needs revisiting.

On Site 7–14 Days

Because works are sequenced by one project manager, we avoid the dead days between trades that plague multi-contractor jobs.

Extraction Done Right

Fans specified to room volume, ducted to external wall, not into a loft or ceiling void. Removes moisture properly and prevents future mould.

The detail

Everything that goes into a Bridgeway fitted bathrooms.

We install family bathrooms, en-suites, cloakrooms and full wet-rooms. Below is a summary of the choices, materials and technical detail we walk you through during design.

Wet-rooms & walk-in showers

Formed floor with correct falls to a linear or centre drain, fully tanked substrate, and slip-rated tiles selected for zone 1. We can install with or without a low-profile tray depending on joist build-up.

Tiling: substrates & materials

Porcelain, ceramic and natural stone laid on tanked cement board or backer board in wet zones. Grouts and adhesives specified by zone and tile type, one wrong adhesive is a full re-tile 18 months later.

Sanitary-ware ranges

Roca, Duravit, Villeroy & Boch, Ideal Standard, Hansgrohe, Grohe and equivalents. We can source at trade or fit customer-supplied items, either way, we check compatibility with service positions before order.

Underfloor heating

Electric UFH matting for bathrooms is straightforward and effective, pair it with a Wi-Fi thermostat and it costs pennies a day to run for the hour or two you actually use it.

Extraction & humidity control

Fan sizing to room volume (litres per second), ducted to external wall in insulated flex, humidistat controlled where possible. Under-specifying extraction is the single most common cause of bathroom mould.

Commercial & rental bathrooms

For landlords and HMOs we build to durability and turnaround: robust sanitary-ware, easy-clean tiling, sealed silicone perimeters, and full electrical certification for compliance and gas safety records.

What our clients say
